About
Samson Realty
Samson Realty has come a very
long way in a relatively short period of time.
Danny Samson, owner of Samson
Realty, has been a Virginia Realtor since 1986 and, since
1989, has been a licensed real estate broker. He
founded Samson Realty in 2001 and today it is one of the
fastest growing real estate companies in Northern Virginia.
When Danny founded Samson
Realty, he implemented several core business principles that
were forged from many years of experience representing both
buyers and sellers. The first and foremost principle was the
commission structure. Samson Realty charges only 4% or
4.5% to the Seller, depending on whether the Seller purchases
their next home through Samson. From this total listing
commission, Samson always pays 3% to the Buyer's agent. When a
Purchaser is represented by a Samson Buyer's agent, Samson
gives cash back to the Buyer $500 per $100,000 of the purchase
price.* Where the Purchaser is buying new construction from a
builder, this cash-back rebate is doubled. (* based on a 3%
selling-side commission).
Even though the 4% or 4.5%
commission is much less than many Realtors charge, the level
of service provided by Samson to Clients exceeds the service
level of most of their competitors. Examples of the Samson
Realty extra service include photo ads of homes for sale
in both The Washington Post and The Times community
newspapers, as well as in other local venues. These
publications reach over 700,000 homes on a weekly basis.
In addition, all Samson Realty
listings for sale can be accessed on the Internet via virtual
tours. This allows potential Buyers world-wide to peruse
detailed photos of our local properties. Buyers can also
search the entire MRIS multiple listing database through this
Samson Realty website, www.OnlyFour.com,
and can receive automatic, system-generated emails of new
listings, as they hit the market. Samson also offers a free
moving truck to all of its Clients. Descriptive brochures and
Open Houses are used to showcase Samson Realty homes for sale.
In essence, the Samson business proposition is to provide more
service for less cost.
Danny's other core principle is
to operate Samson Realty with two fundamental rules. The
first rule is to treat all Clients, Customers and Realtors
with respect. Samson Realty has a distinct family
atmosphere and Danny has always insisted that Samson's Clients
be treated like family.
The second rule is that
Samson's Realtors must conduct themselves and their business
in a thoroughly professional manner. This mandates
consistent, effective communication and a commitment to the
highest level of ethical standards. This customer service
philosophy is supported by a training department that
keeps Samson's Realtors on the cutting edge of technology and
innovation.
Samson Realty understands its
success is a direct result of its individual Realtors.
Accordingly, Samson Realty provides a package of services and
benefits to its Realtors that are unrivaled in the industry.
To provide his Realtors with the best available support, Danny
recently hired Mike Briggs, as a key addition to Samson
Realty's team of managing brokers. Like Danny, Mike has
been a successful real estate broker for nearly 20 years, and
Mike has a long history with the Grievance (Ethics) Committee
of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors. Having
chaired that committee in 2004, Mike has moved on to NVAR's
Arbitration Committee. He has proven his commitment to
professional standards and ethics, and brings his considerable
industry experience to the Company's formal training program,
as well as on-the-job training and advice, based on the facts
of individual transactions.
The core principles described
above have enabled Samson Realty to achieve a truly astounding
growth rate. In 2001, Samson Realty had six Realtors and
transacted $40 million worth of business. In 2004,
Samson Realty had 96 Realtors and did $500 million in
business. In 2005, Samson Realty has over 200 Realtors
and projects over $1 billion in business.
In Danny's own words, "I
have always felt that providing the Seller with a fair price
up front, coupled with a superior level of customer service
would result in satisfied clients and ultimately a very
successful business."
